This summer British Fencing are working with StreetGames to offer FREE training (usually £25) and an opportunity to purchase discounted fencing equipment.

The Explore Fencing CPD gives you:

  • A better understanding of the role of a fencing coach and how to explore your own coaching philosophy.
  • Understanding of the British Fencing (BF) Coaching Framework and how Explore Fencing fits into a bigger picture.
  • Four hours of study with delivery games on completion to experience during your holiday schemes
  • Certificate of completion (this will also show you have completed 25% of the Online Core Coach Award).
  • Preferential rates on foam equipment.
  • Coach access to the Explore Fencing app with fun games and content.
  • Access to the BF Learning Zone for you to take the Explore Fencing course and access any further training from BF.
  • Support from BF to help you make the most of the course as you discover fencing and spark imaginations!

Once you have registered the team at British Fencing will forward over further information on the course and set the coaches up on their eLearning website to begin the CPD training for delivery.

 

Leadership through Fencing: BF recently launched the Leadership through Fencing award, a new and exciting programme, made possible through a partnership between BF and the Leadership Skills Foundation. The programme is aimed towards 11- and 17-year-olds and is ideal to be delivered in the club and school space, providing young people with practical experience as they prepare for further education and employment opportunities.

 

Core Coach Course: At the heart of our community fencing programmes is our Core Coach training, aimed to allow individuals to deliver entry level fencing to young people. Developed for staff and volunteers, the 1-day training goes through the foundations of coaching, fencing technique, and games for delivery. Core Coach allows schools to run after school clubs, PE lessons, and inclusive play for all students. Alongside the training, discounted kit for £640 including VAT & delivery is available to organisations who book a Core Coach training day.

 

WOW Day Fencing Experience: This one-day taster session designed to give participants a fun, engaging introduction to the sport. The experience day includes all the equipment needed, such as plastic swords, masks, and vests. It’s suitable for participants aged 4 and above, making it accessible for children, young people, and adults.
