Sign the petition: Extend the Holiday Activity and Food Programme

We are Bring it on Brum!
Bring it on Brum! is the largest Holiday Activity and Food programme in the country, with approximately 81,000 children eligible for free school meals.
Since 2021, Bring it on Brum! has aimed to improve the holiday experience of children and young people across Birmingham by providing healthy meals, enriching activities and funded childcare places during the spring, summer and winter school holidays.
Bring it on Brum! was an amazing experience our children were truly happy every day! The coaches were kind, supportive, and full of energy, and the leader created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It was honestly the best holiday club experience we’ve ever had.
Without HAF funding we wouldn't have been able to deliver.
If it wasn’t for HAF, who knows where the kids would be. This is very much needed and the most beneficial programme I’ve seen in years that makes the difference
Without HAF funding, we wouldn’t be able to run the club.
Brilliant for the kids and the community to have this opportunity every year.
The provision of school holiday activities, reducing holiday hunger and increasing healthy lifestyle are key values for us. This funding fits perfectly with our values and is a real help to our community
The sessions are a lifeline and I have seen my children's confidence grow so much since taking part. They have gained physical skills and had lots of fun.
We have a large amount of disadvantaged children without the funding we would not be able to provide a free holiday club. It is important for the children to attend as it reduces poverty, antisocial behaviour in the area.
Allows us to reach some of the most vulnerable families in our community who, without HAF funding, would struggle to access the sporting activities we offer.
Absolutely amazing opportunities for children especially when financially times are very difficult for everyone.
Without HAF, we have a large number of children who over holiday periods would be unactive or in vunerable situations. Haf enables us to provide a safe space where they are with familiar adults and are fed and enjoy active time with their friends.
Without funding, children in the area wouldn’t be able to afford to attend something like this, so it allows them the opportunities to attend. Without the funding we wouldn’t run a camp in certain areas as families wouldn’t be able to afford it.
Absolutely vital.
The funding enables us to provide support. We know that parents feel the value from the camps regarding activity levels, social skills, fear of kids getting into trouble of camps weren't on and also they need to support to help their own mental health. The funding also enables us to provide fulltime coaching contracts for our staff rather than term-time only which provides a better salary for them.
Without the funding we wouldn't be able to offer this to over 200 children per week.
We wouldn’t be able to run without the funding. We run specifically for vulnerable children who are SEN or young carers.
The most important thing is that it leads to a lot of delivery for young people and it helps families. But it has also helped to make networks in Birmingham between groups and organisations; having HAF funding has been a factor enabling groups to run activities year round after school etc.
The club wouldn't be complete without the funding! With the funding we were able to slowly incorporate new games and enrichment activities.
The programme is brilliant! Without this programme, my son wouldn't be able to engage socially with other kids.
